About Covington Dumpster Rental Group
Locally owned, 13 years in, and still recommending the smaller container when the material is heavy.

How this started
Wade Ferrell grew up in Porterdale and spent eleven years on demolition and framing crews around Newton County before buying a single truck and one container in 2013. The reason was straightforward enough: he had spent a decade waiting on containers that arrived late, arrived in the wrong size, or arrived with a price that changed once the load hit the scale.
Thirteen years on we run a fleet across Covington and the surrounding counties, and the operating principle has not changed. Tell people the truth about what they need, put the container down without wrecking the driveway, and charge the number that was quoted.
What we actually do differently
We recommend smaller containers. This is the one that surprises people. A great deal of the housing around the Covington square, in Oxford, through the Porterdale mill village and out into Madison's historic district was built when plaster over wood lath and heart pine framing were ordinary construction. That material is dense. A 20 yard container filled with it reaches its tonnage allowance at roughly two-thirds of its visible height, and the customer pays overage on space they were never permitted to use. Recommending the 15 yard instead costs us revenue on the invoice and saves the customer money. We do it anyway, because the alternative is a conversation about an unexpected charge, and we would rather not have that conversation.
Hardwood cribbing on every delivery. A loaded container concentrates several tons through four small contact points. On a Georgia afternoon in July, asphalt that feels solid will take an impression. Planking under the rollers and rails takes ninety seconds, costs nothing, and is not something you should have to ask for.
One number. The flat rate covers delivery, seven days, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance, and the overage rate is quoted in the same breath. There is no fuel surcharge and no environmental fee that appears on an invoice for the first time.
Why local actually matters here
In most places, a company describing itself as local is making a marketing claim. In Newton County it is closer to an operating requirement. The county landfill on Lower River Road is restricted to Newton County waste by county ordinance, and commercial disposers have to produce documentation showing the load originated here.
Cross a county line and the whole picture changes. Rockdale, covering Conyers, has run no landfill since 1993. Walton work routes through the Monroe transfer station or the construction and demolition landfills on US-78. Morgan County has its own landfill on the Athens Highway. DeKalb has Ellenwood. Five counties within twenty-five miles of the Covington square, five different answers, each with its own costs and rules.
Knowing that is the difference between a quote that holds and a quote that moves.
The people you will deal with
- Wade Ferrell — Founder & Owner. Porterdale native, eleven years on demolition and framing crews before starting the company. Still takes sizing calls, particularly on older properties.
- Danielle Session — Operations Manager. Runs the schedule, the swaps and the contractor accounts. If you need a same-day swap, she is the one who makes it happen.
- Curtis Yarbrough — Lead Driver. Has been threading containers into tight Porterdale and Oxford driveways for eight years. If he says a 30 yard will not fit, it will not fit.
- Alina Restrepo — Customer Care Lead. First voice on the phone most mornings, and the person who will walk you through what can and cannot go in the container.
